Fruit Syrups

Ingredients:

 

Syrup Base

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Add sugar and water to a heavy bottom sauce pan and bring to a boil.  Remove from stove and add desired fruits.  See variations below.

Variations:

 

Follow the syrup recipe above and simple add the follow ingredients to the hot syrup to create the fruit syrups.

 

Blueberry

  • 4 cups fresh/frozen blueberries
  1. Bring the blueberries and syrup to a boil.  Remove, cool and serve.

 

Cherries

  • 4 cups fresh/frozen cherries
  1. Bring the cherries and syrup to a boil.  Remove, cool and serve.

 

Cherry Sour Cream

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups fresh/frozen cherries

1.  Whisk the sour cream into the hot syrup and add the cherries.  Bring to a boil.  Remove, cool, and serve.
